Lumi Eyes is an injectable polynucleotide treatment formulated specifically for the under-eye area. Polynucleotides are short DNA fragments that, once placed into the dermis, signal fibroblasts to produce new collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid. Over the course of a few weeks, this rebuilds the quality of the thin under-eye skin, softening shadows, smoothing fine lines and improving overall freshness around the eyes.

Tear-trough filler adds hyaluronic acid volume to lift a hollowed area. Lumi Eyes does not add volume, it regenerates the existing skin from within. A standard course is two to four sessions spaced four weeks apart. Two sessions give a visible improvement; four sessions give the strongest and longest-lasting result because the collagen and elastin remodelling builds with each session. Most patients book the course of two or four at the consultation, with maintenance sessions every six to nine months once the initial course is complete.

Downtime is minimal. Expect small injection points, mild swelling and possible light bruising under the eyes for one to two days. Most patients return to work the next day with light cover-up makeup once twelve hours have passed. Saunas, steam rooms, sunbeds and intense exercise are out for forty-eight hours while the area settles.

We do not treat patients who are pregnant or breastfeeding, who have an active skin infection or cold sore in the treatment area, who have a known allergy to fish proteins or other constituents, who are on blood-thinning medication without prior medical clearance, or who have a history of keloid scarring. Medical history and the under-eye area are both reviewed in detail at consultation before any treatment is booked.

Early hydration and a subtle freshness appear within a week as the skin begins to respond. The real change, smoother, brighter, better-quality under-eye skin, builds over four to eight weeks as new collagen and elastin develop.
