Lumi Eyes is the polynucleotide injectable designed specifically for the delicate under-eye area, rebuilding thin, crepey skin from within rather than adding volume on top. Short DNA fragments signal fibroblasts to lay down fresh collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid, softening dark circles and fine lines over a course of two to four sessions. From £180 per session on the clinician tier across our seven UK clinics.

How Lumi Eyes actually works

Lumi Eyes uses purified polynucleotides, short fragments of DNA derived from salmon, placed into the under-eye dermis through fine micro-injections. These fragments are not active in any pharmacological sense; they act as a biological signal that tells your fibroblasts to begin producing new collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid.

Over the following weeks, the thin, often crepey skin under the eye is rebuilt from within. The shadow softens because the skin becomes thicker and more reflective; the fine lines smooth because the underlying structure is restored; the area looks fresher because the tissue is healthier rather than because it has been filled.

This regenerative approach is fundamentally different from tear-trough filler, which adds hyaluronic acid volume to lift a hollow. Lumi Eyes works on patients whose under-eye concern is skin quality rather than volume loss, which is most of the people who walk through the door asking for help with their eyes.

Who Lumi Eyes is for

The classic Lumi Eyes candidate has thin, crepey under-eye skin, fine lines that creams have not improved and shadows that come from poor skin quality rather than true volume loss. Often these patients have tried tear-trough filler and found it created puffiness or a blue tint, or have been told they are not suitable candidates for filler.

It is also a strong choice for patients in their thirties and forties looking for a preventive, regenerative approach before any volume work becomes necessary. By rebuilding the skin while it is still good, the area ages more slowly and may avoid the need for filler altogether.

At your consultation we examine the under-eye area carefully and assess whether your concern is skin-quality, volume loss, or both. We will only recommend Lumi Eyes if it is the right tool for your face; if volume work is needed, we will say so clearly.

After your Lumi Eyes

Expect small injection points, mild swelling and possible light bruising under the eyes for one to two days. Most patients return to work the next day with light cover-up makeup once twelve hours have passed. There is no peeling, no flaking and no significant downtime beyond avoiding heat and makeup for the first day.

No touching, rubbing or massaging the area for twenty-four hours. Saunas, steam rooms, sunbeds and intense exercise are out for forty-eight hours. SPF 50 every morning for at least two weeks is non-negotiable while the new collagen develops, because the under-eye skin is more photosensitive while it rebuilds.

Early freshness shows within a week. The real structural change builds over four to eight weeks and continues through the course. Most patients book maintenance every six to nine months once the initial course of two or four is complete, to preserve the result long-term.

Common questions

What patients ask first.

What is Lumi Eyes and how does it work? +

Lumi Eyes is an injectable polynucleotide treatment formulated specifically for the under-eye area. Polynucleotides are short DNA fragments that, once placed into the dermis, signal fibroblasts to produce new collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid. Over the course of a few weeks, this rebuilds the quality of the thin under-eye skin, softening shadows, smoothing fine lines and improving overall freshness around the eyes.

How is Lumi Eyes different from tear-trough filler? +

Tear-trough filler adds hyaluronic acid volume to lift a hollowed area. Lumi Eyes does not add volume, it regenerates the existing skin from within. For patients whose dark circles are caused by thin, crepey, poor-quality skin rather than true volume loss, Lumi Eyes is the more appropriate option because it improves the skin itself rather than masking the shadow with structure. At consultation we assess which is the right route for your face.

How many Lumi Eyes sessions will I need? +

A standard course is two to four sessions spaced four weeks apart. Two sessions give a visible improvement; four sessions give the strongest and longest-lasting result because the collagen and elastin remodelling builds with each session. Most patients book the course of two or four at the consultation, with maintenance sessions every six to nine months once the initial course is complete.

Is there downtime after Lumi Eyes? +

Downtime is minimal. Expect small injection points, mild swelling and possible light bruising under the eyes for one to two days. Most patients return to work the next day with light cover-up makeup once twelve hours have passed. Saunas, steam rooms, sunbeds and intense exercise are out for forty-eight hours while the area settles.

Who should not have Lumi Eyes? +

We do not treat patients who are pregnant or breastfeeding, who have an active skin infection or cold sore in the treatment area, who have a known allergy to fish proteins or other constituents, who are on blood-thinning medication without prior medical clearance, or who have a history of keloid scarring. Medical history and the under-eye area are both reviewed in detail at consultation before any treatment is booked.

When will I see results from Lumi Eyes? +

Early hydration and a subtle freshness appear within a week as the skin begins to respond. The real change, smoother, brighter, better-quality under-eye skin, builds over four to eight weeks as new collagen and elastin develop. Photographs at consultation and follow-up help track progress, with the strongest results visible around six to eight weeks after the final session.

How much does Lumi Eyes cost at CoLaz? +

Lumi Eyes is offered on two tiers. The clinician tier is £180 for a single session, £295 for a course of two and £540 for a course of four. The doctor tier is £250 for a single session, £450 for a course of two and £700 for a course of four. Course pricing offers a meaningful saving and is the protocol most patients choose because polynucleotide results build session by session. A consultation is required before any course is booked.
