Getting started
Booking, consultations and finding us.
How do I book my first appointment at CoLaz?
The fastest route is WhatsApp, tap the green button on any clinic page and your message lands directly with that clinic's team, typically answered within five minutes during opening hours. You can also use the consultation form on the booking page or call the clinic directly. Every first appointment starts with a free fifteen-minute consultation so a qualified clinician can confirm what is right for your skin before anything is booked.
Where are the CoLaz clinics?
We have seven UK clinics, Derby, Wembley, London Paddington, Slough, Reading, Southall and Hounslow. Full address, opening hours and a Google Maps link sit on each clinic page at /clinics/. Same menu of treatments, same standard of care across all seven. Pick the location closest to you.
What happens at the free consultation?
A fifteen-minute conversation with a qualified clinician, in person or by WhatsApp. We review your goal, your medical history, any current skincare and any contraindications. You leave with a written treatment plan and a transparent price quote. Nothing is booked from the consultation without your agreement and there are no upsells in the chair.
Do I need to bring anything to my consultation?
Just a list of any current medication, any known allergies, and an honest sense of what you are hoping to change. Photographs in natural light at the clinic are usually taken at the consultation so progress can be tracked objectively across the course. No paperwork to fill out in advance.
Treatments
Choosing, courses and what to expect.
Which treatment is right for me?
It depends on your concern, your skin type and what is realistic for your stage. Most patients book a free consultation first, we listen to the concern, photograph the area and recommend the protocol that best fits. Many concerns benefit from a combination of treatments rather than a single one. Browse our /concerns/ page for the most common starting points: acne, ageing skin, pigmentation, dark circles, hair thinning, cellulite and more.
How many sessions will I need?
It varies by treatment. Laser hair removal is typically a course of six to ten sessions. Hydrafacial and chemical peels deliver visible results in a single session but build with a course of three to six. Microneedling and PRP usually run as courses of four to six. Injectables like anti-wrinkle injections and dermal fillers are single sessions, with maintenance every three to twelve months. The exact protocol is agreed in writing at the consultation.
How long until I see results?
Hydrafacial and most facials deliver visible glow within twenty-four hours. Injectable anti-wrinkle results start showing at three to five days and complete at two weeks. Microneedling and PRP build collagen across three to six months. Pigmentation work usually shows the first fading at two to four weeks and the full result across the course. We take photographs at the start and at each session so you can see the change objectively rather than estimate it in the mirror.
Can I combine treatments?
Often yes, with the right sequencing. Many concerns benefit from a combined plan, for example, anti-wrinkle injections plus Profhilo for the face, or microneedling plus chemical peels for acne scarring. Some combinations need spacing between sessions (we will not microneedle through active acne, for example) and we will plan the order at the consultation so each treatment has the best chance of settling cleanly.
Are treatments suitable for darker skin tones?
Yes, we treat all Fitzpatrick skin types and several of our treatments are specifically calibrated for higher-melanin skin. For laser-based treatments we test-patch every Fitzpatrick 4 to 6 patient before a full session, choose the right wavelength and dose conservatively at the start. PICO laser and Cosmelan are particularly strong on darker skin where heat-based lasers carry pigment risk.
Safety and qualifications
Who treats you, and why it matters.
Who delivers the treatments at CoLaz?
Every treatment is delivered by a qualified clinician, laser-trained therapists for laser and skin work, NMC-registered nurses and doctors for all injectables. We do not allow salon-trained therapists to deliver injectables, regardless of the product. The clinician you meet at the consultation is usually the clinician who delivers your treatment.
Are CoLaz clinics regulated?
Yes. We follow all relevant UK regulatory standards including ASA and MHRA guidance on aesthetic claims, the Joint Council for Cosmetic Practitioners code where applicable, and the requirements of our insurance underwriters. Injectable treatments use CE-marked products only. Our clinicians complete continuous professional development on the latest devices, protocols and aftercare.
What if I have a medical condition or take regular medication?
Disclose everything at the consultation, even if it feels unrelated. Some conditions and medications affect which treatments are suitable, blood thinners, immunosuppressants, isotretinoin in the last six months, and certain autoimmune conditions all change the plan. We will be honest if a treatment is not appropriate for you, and we will decline to treat if it is not safe.
Can I have treatments while pregnant or breastfeeding?
Many treatments are paused during pregnancy and breastfeeding by default, laser, all injectables, most active peels, microneedling and IV therapy. A few gentle treatments are sometimes appropriate (gentle facials, certain LED protocols) and are agreed case by case with the clinician. We always err on the side of caution and will happily plan ahead from a consultation so you can book once you have stopped breastfeeding.
Pricing and payment
Transparent prices, no surprises.
How much do treatments cost?
Each treatment page shows a clear 'From £X' anchor, the lowest single-session price for that treatment, and the consultation confirms the exact protocol price in writing before any session is booked. We do not run upsells in the chair. Course prices include a per-session discount versus pay-as-you-go pricing.
How do I pay?
Card, Apple Pay and Google Pay at the clinic on the day of treatment. Voucher purchases through the offers page are processed via Stripe-hosted checkout, your card details never touch our website. We do not offer finance or split-payment plans, the full price for each session or course is settled at the time of booking.
Is the consultation really free?
Yes. The first fifteen-minute consultation is free, with no obligation to book a treatment. Some specialist consultations (notably Cosmelan and certain injectable plans) carry a small consultation fee that is then redeemed against any treatment you book. Where that applies it is made clear before the appointment is set.
Can I get a refund if I change my mind about a course?
Once a treatment session has been delivered it is non-refundable. Unused sessions from a paid course can usually be transferred to a different treatment of equivalent value within the same clinic, we will discuss the options with you. Voucher purchases (from the offers page) are non-refundable, non-exchangeable and non-transferable per the voucher terms.
Aftercare
What happens after you leave the clinic.
What aftercare will I need?
Aftercare varies by treatment but most share a common pattern: avoid heat, intense exercise, saunas and steam rooms for twenty-four to seventy-two hours, drink plenty of water, wear SPF 50 daily and keep the treated area clean. You leave every appointment with a written aftercare sheet specific to your treatment and the clinician's mobile or WhatsApp for anything that comes up.
What if I have a reaction or am worried about something after treatment?
WhatsApp the clinic that treated you, the team will respond quickly during opening hours and triage what to do. Genuine complications are rare and almost always manageable when caught early. If you are ever worried, message us straight away. Out of hours, follow the written aftercare guidance and contact NHS 111 if you cannot reach us and feel it cannot wait.
How often do I need to come back?
Depends entirely on the treatment and your goal. Laser hair removal: every four to six weeks during the course, then occasional maintenance. Anti-wrinkle: every three to four months. Hydrafacial: every four to six weeks. Profhilo: a two-session course every six to twelve months. Your written treatment plan from the consultation sets out the schedule.
Can I switch clinics mid-course?
No, each CoLaz clinic is independently owned and run by its own franchisee, so a course paid for at one clinic is redeemed only at that clinic. If you anticipate moving or travelling, tell us at the consultation and we will help you choose the location that fits long-term before you commit to a course. Voucher purchases are clinic-locked at checkout for the same reason.
