Deep cleanse facial is the classic, customised cleansing facial that sits at the foundation of the CoLaz menu. A double cleanse, gentle exfoliation, warm steam, careful extractions, massage, mask, serum, moisturiser and SPF, tailored to your skin on the day. From £35 for a thirty-minute session, with sixty-minute and course options, across our seven UK clinics.
What a deep cleanse facial includes
The deep cleanse facial follows a structured but fully customised protocol. Every session starts with a thorough consultation on the day to assess your skin, identify any flares or changes since the last visit, and confirm the products and intensity to use.
The treatment itself runs through eight steps: double cleanse to clear makeup, SPF and surface oils; gentle exfoliation; warm steam to soften the skin and open the pores; manual extractions of comedones where appropriate; a soothing massage to improve circulation; a mask matched to your skin on the day; serum and moisturiser; and a finishing SPF 50.
The thirty-minute version covers the essentials. The sixty-minute version adds an extended massage, a longer mask phase and a more thorough extraction phase, and is the preferred option for patients who want the full relaxing experience or who have more congestion to address.
Who deep cleanse facials are for
The classic candidate has congested or oily skin and wants a thorough cleanse with extractions, or dull, tired-looking skin needing a refresh without active treatments. It is the most popular first-time facial for patients new to in-clinic skincare, and it suits any skin type because every step is tailored.
It also works as a gentle monthly maintenance between bigger protocols. Patients on a peel course, a microneedling course or a laser course often book a deep cleanse facial in the off-month to keep the skin balanced without adding more active treatment. It is also our most budget-friendly entry point at £35 per thirty-minute session.
The treatment is not designed to address structural concerns such as deep lines, scarring, pigmentation or laxity. Where those are the real goal, other treatments on the CoLaz menu will deliver more meaningful change; the right next step is agreed at consultation.
After your deep cleanse facial
There is no downtime. The skin is fresh, hydrated and lightly glowing immediately after the session. Some patients have a small amount of pinkness around extraction sites for a few hours; this settles by the next morning. Makeup and normal skincare can be resumed the same day, with light cover over any extraction sites if needed.
There are no restrictions on heat, exercise, swimming or sun beyond your usual SPF routine. Where possible, leave heavy makeup off any extraction sites for twelve hours to let the skin settle. Daily SPF 50 is always recommended as part of a sensible skincare routine.
Monthly is the standard maintenance frequency, which mirrors the skin's natural renewal cycle. The course of six is built for a six-month maintenance plan at this rhythm. Some patients alternate deep cleanse facials with Hydrafacial, oxygen facial or LED across the year for a balanced ongoing programme.

Common questions
What patients ask first.
What is a deep cleanse facial? +
A deep cleanse facial is a classic, customised cleansing facial that combines a double cleanse, gentle exfoliation, warm steam, manual extractions where appropriate, massage, a mask suited to your skin, and finishing serum, moisturiser and SPF. It is the foundation facial of the CoLaz menu, designed to refresh and reset the skin without the energy, acids or needling of more advanced treatments. Every step is tailored on the day based on what your skin needs.
Who is a deep cleanse facial for? +
It suits almost everyone. The classic candidate has congested or oily skin and wants a thorough cleanse with extractions, or dull, tired-looking skin needing a refresh without active treatments. It is also the best first-time facial for patients new to skincare in clinic, and a sensible monthly maintenance between bigger protocols such as peels, microneedling or laser. It is also our most budget-friendly entry point at £35 for a thirty-minute session.
How is this different from a Hydrafacial? +
Both treatments cleanse, refresh and brighten the skin without downtime. A Hydrafacial uses a specialised vortex-suction device to perform cleanse, exfoliate, extract and infuse steps in a defined multi-step protocol, with a more standardised intensity. A deep cleanse facial is a traditional, hands-on treatment with manual steps and a fully customised approach. Hydrafacial typically gives a stronger immediate glow; deep cleanse facial gives a more relaxing experience with a thorough hands-on cleanse.
Are extractions painful? +
Extractions are performed gently and only where the skin is ready for them. The sensation is a brief pressure rather than sharp pain; some patients find one or two particularly stubborn comedones uncomfortable for a few seconds, but most describe the process as tolerable. The therapist stops if any extraction is causing distress or risks bruising the skin. If your skin is not suitable for extractions on the day, they are simply skipped.
How often should I have a deep cleanse facial? +
Monthly is the standard maintenance frequency, which mirrors the skin's natural renewal cycle. The course of six is built for a six-month maintenance plan at this rhythm. Some patients book a session every two to three months as a lighter rhythm; others alternate deep cleanse facials with Hydrafacial or oxygen facial across the year. The right rhythm for you is agreed at consultation.
Who should not have a deep cleanse facial? +
Deep cleanse facials suit almost every skin type. We do not treat patients with active skin infections, severe rosacea flares, fresh sunburn, or open eczema in the treatment area. Patients on isotretinoin or with recent strong actives are reviewed at consultation; the protocol may be simplified to avoid irritation. Medical history is checked at every first appointment.
How much does a deep cleanse facial cost at CoLaz? +
The thirty-minute deep cleanse facial is £35 single and £150 for a course of six (working out at £25 per session). The sixty-minute deep cleanse facial, which adds an extended massage, a longer mask and a more thorough extraction phase, is £55 single and £180 for a course of six (working out at £30 per session). The course of six is the most popular protocol because monthly facials mirror the skin's natural renewal cycle and the per-session cost drops significantly.
