Plasma Eye Lift Treatment: For Instant Non-Surgical Blepharoplasty
Why Get an Eye Lift?
Excess skin and fat around the upper eyelid can add years to our appearance, look puffy, and even block our field of vision. As well as medical motivations, it’s also possible to improve the contour of the eyelid aesthetically by adding or removing fat from around the lower eyelid to correct sagging and improve the appearance of lines and wrinkles.
Double eyelid surgery is also available and is performed to enhance or create the appearance of a sharper upper eyelid crease. This procedure is popular among those looking to achieve a more ‘Westernised’ look. Good candidates for eye lifts are those in good health.
What Is Blepharoplasty?
A misnomer, the term “eyelid lift” is misleading in that during eyelid surgery or blepharoplasty the eyelids are not actually lifted. Eye lift surgery involves removing excess eyelid skin, fat, lines, wrinkles and more from the eye area through incisions.
In upper blepharoplasty surgery, the skin is then stitched together to create an eyelid crease. Lower eyelid surgery either involves incisions below the lash line or on the inside of the eyelid. This method is called the transconjunctival approach which allows for access without visible incisions.
There are many risks involved with blepharoplasty though, from pain and unfavourable scarring to lid lag, infection, risks from anaesthesia, and even altered vision or blindness.
A plasma eye lift is a permanent solution to eyelid tightening with patients seeing results from just 1-2 treatments.*
- Needle never penetrates skin tissue but causes a controlled superficial burn to restore the skin’s natural elasticity.
- Results are seen immediately after treatment and continue to improve in the first two weeks while the skin heals.
How To Fix Droopy Eyelids Without Surgery
Choosing a plasma eye lift can help you address issues with saggy top and bottom eyelids which occurs when the skin around the eyes gets lax with age without the risks involved with surgery. Plasma eye lifts are a powerful and effective alternative to surgical procedures such as blepharoplasty (eyelid correction). The treatment is preferred by many over more invasive surgical cosmetic procedures as plasma eye lifts mean reduced recovery time and none of the complications that can arise before and after surgery.
Non-surgical eye lifts remove the excess eyelid skin and wrinkles around the eyes while being entirely non-invasive. The system doesn’t spread heat to surrounding areas either, which makes it ideal for treating sensitive areas (such as eyelids) that are not really suitable for other devices.

How Does a Plasma Eye Lift Work?
The plasma eye lift works best to lift or smooth hooded, heavy or double eyelids, and also to reduce eye bags and crow’s feet wrinkles. It’s a permanent solution with minimal downtime or risk, and the treatment is much more selective than Radio Frequency or HIFU. The entire treatment is an innovative development in cosmetic medicine and rejuvenating facial treatments as the process employs the fourth state of matter: Plasma.
Plasma uses the ionisation of gases in the air forming an electrical arc. The other states of matter being solid, liquid and gas. The procedure is a relatively painless and fuss-free eye-lifting treatment. During the session, our trained practitioners will apply a topical anaesthesia to the eye area. Next, the Plasma Applicator is applied to the places which are to be treated in a specific order and manner, effectively removing the excess skin.
The Plasma Applicator will reshape the contour of the eye area and leave behind tiny micro scabs that drop off in a few days. As the needle only has a 0.3 mm surface area, the procedure is exact and delicate. The needle never breaks the skin but emits a small electric arc that is ideal for treating the skin around the eye while minimising risk. The plasma arc stimulates instant contraction through the tip of the needle and tightens the skin in the process. You should see a difference very quickly, but the final results will take 2-4 weeks to emerge fully.
Advantages of Plasma Eye Lift vs. Surgical Blepharoplasty
- The treatment does not require an injectable anaesthetic. The procedure is performed with topical cream anaesthesia only.
- No cutting is necessary; a session only involves the plasma sublimation of the skin.
- No stitches are needed, so no risk of scarring.
- It is an incredibly low-risk procedure (there is NO risk of blindness as there is with surgical Blepharoplasty.)
- Minimal side effects and downtime is necessary.
- It’s a quick and easy procedure, CoLaz plasma eye lifts only take about 30 minutes.
- Through the plasma, collagen is stimulated to create stronger, less wrinkled skin.

The First Step is to have a consultation.
Your treatment is the second step.
The Final Step is
AfterCare
Plasma eye lifts are a very gentle procedure. The number of sessions necessary will depend on the required treatment area size and the client’s expected degree of correction. The plasma electrical arc will create a superficial burn dot on the skin. Repeated ‘dots’ are made using plasma around the eyes.
The skin tissue instantly vaporises, which leaves a ‘crusting’ on the area. Once the micro scabs fall off naturally, much tighter and firmer skin is revealed, restoring the skin’s natural elasticity. The session may be moderately uncomfortable and sensitive for some—especially as eyelid procedures are where the skin is at its thinnest.
Don’t cover the area to be treated with any make-up, mascara, creams or plasters and occlusive dressings until the skin has fully healed. The only exception should be given to the specific aftercare products CoLaz recommends post-treatment.
After any facial procedure, especially around the eyes, CoLaz recommends using a cooling gel eye mask to prevent inflammation by soothing and reducing swelling. Once the micro scabs have healed, use factor 50 sunblock for up to 12 weeks and avoid sunbeds.

Frequently Asked Questions
The post-treatment aftercare is minimal and requires no necessary downtime. Just take care with the micro scabs to moisturize them and avoid sunbeds, saunas, and heavy exercise while the area heals properly. Try to avoid exfoliating or scratching at the micro scabs. The ‘crusting’ of micro scabs can be covered with concealer too for work.
The number of sessions you require will depend entirely upon your goals and desired results.
We encourage clients to arrange a free consultation with us first to discuss what you hope to achieve with plasma eye lifts. It is advisable to visit us in person, so we can assess your requirements impartially and give you a better idea of cost.
The procedure will last around 30 minutes.
Very safe. Plasma eye lifts are non-invasive, non-surgical, and come with none of the risks that surgical blepharoplasty does.
We encourage clients to arrange a there may be some mild swelling after your session for up to 1-5 days which is normal, but the inflammation is usually of a very minor nature and entirely to be expected. Post-treatment downtime and recovery from plasma eye lifts are frequently shown to be superior to work with other less suitable devices.
