AqualyxIs A Revolutionary Injectable Fat Dissolving Treatment
What Is Aqualyx®
Aqualyx is a revolutionary injectable solution developed by the renowned aesthetic surgeon Professor Pasquale Motoleses, and the solution has been available internationally since 2009.
It has been licensed in the UK for fat loss treatment and body reshaping. Aqualyx is an injectable solution whereby the clinician will inject the solution into localised areas of fat such as the saddlebags, thighs, stomach, chin and knees.
It can also be used to treat pseudo gynecomastia, commonly known as man boobs. Aqualyx liquefies the fat cells and destroys them permanently. The lipids are released will be naturally eliminated through the lymphatic system.
Aqualyx is proven to lead to permanent reduction of fatty tissues.Aqualyx can be injected in any area where you are trying to achieve a slimmer, more toned look or feel better about yourself.
How Does Aqualyx Fat Dissolving Injection Work
Aqualyx is a non-surgical procedure that dissolves fat cells and assists with body shaping. Aqualyx’s ingredients are injected into the targeted area to dissolve unwanted fat cells by weakening them.
The breakdown of the fat cells allows the body’s immune system to eliminate them via the lymphatic system and reshape those areas. To see optimal results, you must have a healthy lifestyle.
The Aqualyx process starts working immediately, but in some cases, it can take over a month to break down the fat. for best results, it may take a few treatments before you can see the effects on the targeted area.
Who Is Suitable For Aqualyx
Aqualyx treatment is suitable for someone who is ideally close to their body weight, with areas of stubborn fat they are struggling to shift with exercise or diet, such as bra folds or saddlebags.
Please remember Aqualyx is not a weight-loss treatment, so if you are overweight and have large areas of loose skin, this treatment will not be ideal for you. During the consultation procedure, the clinician will access the areas and recommend if treatment is suitable.
Aqualyx is typically considered safe for most people, but it may not be recommended in certain circumstances, such as
- Pregnant or breastfeeding;
- Under the age of 18.
- Undergoing IVF treatment
- Autoimmune disease
- Lipodystrophy or pathological conditions,e.g. liver or kidney disease – if you have diabetes, then treatment will only be carried out with the consent of a GP

The Treatment Process For Aqualyx
1. The first Step is to Have a Consultation.
Before your treatment with Aqualyx, we will be happy to discuss your needs and recommend how Aqualyx can help. We will review your medical history to see if you are suitable for the treatment, and we will explain what to expect and answer any questions you have about the treatment.
2. The Second Step is The Treatment.
Your Aqualyx fat dissolving injection will be administered by a trained clinician, who will clean the area and mark out the section where Aqualyx will be injected.
Aqualyx solution will be mix with a local anaesthetic to help to reduce the discomfort. Depending on the area, the Aqualyx solution is typically delivered by injection but can also be done via cannula.
Your clinician will explain more during consultation.
The treatment will take up to 30 -45 minutes, depending on the size of the area. Clients will feel some discomfort during treating, and they usually describe it as a burning, stinging sensation which subsides soon after.
3. The Final Step Of Care Is Aftercare.
Aqualyx causes an inflammatory reaction in the fat cells, which can cause swelling that may last for 3-7 days. The swelling can be evident with facial treatments,e.g. chin, so you should organise work/ social engagements.
You will need to avoid the following:
- Eating for at least two hours after Aqualyx treatment and drinking alcohol for 24 hours afterwards could irritate the injection site.
- Avoid extreme temperatures, spas, saunas, steam and swimming pool for 3-5 days
- Avoid high-intensity physical exercise for 10 days
- Avoid any heavy lifting for 10 days
- Cannot undergo any other treatment in the area for 14 days, e.g., laser, fat freeze
- An ice pack can be used to reduce swelling
- Avoid makeup and skincare for 12 hours
- Wear loose clothing and ensure you do not use any anti-inflammatory tablets for 48 hours .
In concluding the injectable fat loss treatment, Aqualyx has been clinically proven to be a safe and effective solution for permanent fat reduction. If you’re looking to lose weight without surgery or dieting but have had no luck with other treatments in the past, we urge you to book a consultation with one of our experienced Aqualyx clinicians.
