Amazing Results with LED Light Therapy for a Wide Range
of Skin Conditions
Some of the skin conditions we treat at Colaz with this advanced therapy include:
How LED is Used for Skin Therapy
Blue and Red LED lights interact with skin cells causing a photo-biochemical reaction. This stimulates cellular renewal from deep within the tissue and has an anti-bacterial effect. It helps rejuvenate aging skin by initiating new collagen production and repairing damaged cells.
Red LED Light Therapy for
Skin Regeneration
This kind of phototherapy stimulates the skin cells. The resulting stimulation of collagen and elastin helps diminish fine lines, enhance skin texture, and alleviate spots and imperfections. Red light is also used, in addition to blue light, to improve healing in acne treatments.
Blue LED Light Therapy for
Acne Treatment
Blue Light Therapy is a powerful treatment for acne. The blue light helps reduce acne by killing the Propionibacterium bacteria that causes acne breakouts. Over a short period of three months, acne is usually reduced significantly.
The type of spots we can treat with light therapy are called papules or pustules. These are two common, inflammatory spots in acne sufferers. It must, however, be noted, that if you have non-inflammatory blackheads or whiteheads, then the light therapy may not respond as well. When you arrive at the clinic, we’ll check the type of spots you have to be sure you will benefit from the light therapy.
How Long Does It Take to Reduce Acne with LED?
For optimal results, it’s best to book an acne treatment course of 12 sessions over a 2-month period. The first month you come in twice a week, and thereafter it’s just once a week. After that, we recommend you book a maintenance treatment once every six months to prevent further outbreaks and keep your skin rejuvenated.
We also recommend having a course of microdermabrasion in combination with acne light therapy. This will help remove the dead skin so the bright light can penetrate your skin even deeper.
LED Light Therapy for skin benefits you in several skin conditions and not just in acne. And this is the result after 12 treatments under the LED light. You can see a great improvement in her skin. We apply LED and SPF to finish if someone is coming just for the LED only.
While no specific aftercare is needed after having LED Advanced Light Therapy, essential skincare is required, as with all other treatments.
