Why a CoLaz franchise

Six reasons franchisees pick CoLaz.

We are not the cheapest franchise to start, and we are not the loudest in the directory listings. What we offer is full ownership, a brand that patients already recognise, and a franchise team that has been doing this since 2014, across seven live clinics.

01

100% ownership

You own 100% of your clinic and keep 100% of the net profits. We do not take an equity share, only a flat royalty on turnover.

02

Flexible operating model

Run it as your full-time business or layer it onto an existing healthcare or business career. Most franchisees grow into a hands-on full-time role within twelve to eighteen months.

03

In-house training

Our partner colleges train your staff to NVQ levels 2, 3 and 4, with a preferential rate for franchise owners. You do not need clinical qualifications yourself.

04

High revenue potential

A booming UK aesthetics market, a brand patients already recognise, and a proven mix of laser, skin, body and injectables that drives repeat visits and word-of-mouth.

05

Expert franchise team

An experienced franchise-development team supports your initial £220,000 investment from site search through to launch day, and stays in touch for the long run.

06

Low monthly fees

A single, transparent 8.5% royalty on net turnover. No hidden ad-fund charges, no per-service fees, no escalating annual increases.

The opportunity

A growing market, a proven brand.

The UK aesthetics market has grown consistently year on year for the last decade, with non-surgical treatments now the fastest-growing segment. Patients want results-driven skin, body and injectables, delivered locally, by qualified clinicians, at fair prices.

CoLaz sits in the sweet spot. We are not a single-treatment brand chasing one trend, and we are not a luxury day-spa hoping a celebrity name carries the marketing. We deliver the full menu of clinical-grade treatments under one trusted brand, and our seven UK clinics have shown that the model travels.

Franchising lets the right local operator open a CoLaz clinic in their own community while plugging into the brand, the training, the supplier network and the marketing engine we have already built.

How it works

From enquiry to opening day, five steps.

  1. 01

    Enquire

Send the short form below. Alayika, our CEO, replies personally within two working days, usually faster.

  2. 02

    Discovery meeting

A relaxed first conversation. We share the prospectus, you ask the hard questions, we explore whether the fit is right for both sides.

  3. 03

    Sign NDA

Once we are both interested, you sign a confidentiality agreement and we share the financial detail, supplier contracts and the live performance data of existing clinics.

  4. 04

    Location selection

We help you scout, evaluate and secure the right premises in your protected postal district. Most franchisees take three to six months at this stage.

  5. 05

    Fit-out and launch

Our development team guides the clinic build, the brand fit-out, staff recruitment and training, and the launch marketing. From signed lease to opening day is typically four to six months.

In their own words

Real franchisees.

Three of the current network. Different backgrounds, different routes in, same brand behind them.

My ambitions were telling me to move up and on. I had always strived to succeed at new challenges, and at the time I was considering the franchise move I had lived in this country for twenty-one years and I wanted to become the most that I could be. I felt that opportunity lay with CoLaz. The support has and continues always to be there.

Hounslow

Being the boss of my own clinic had always been my dream, and CoLaz helped it happen so quickly. I had the idea in August 2016, we found a property together by November, and we signed the contract in February 2017. The following year it was all so quick. The team gave me so much more than support, they helped me realise my dream, and without them it would never have happened.

Territory

Protected by postal district.

Every CoLaz franchise holds the rights to one full district postal code. The Paddington clinic, for example, owns the W2 district, no other CoLaz can open inside that catchment for the term of the agreement.

That gives you a clear comfort zone to build your patient base, run local marketing and recruit staff without worrying about brand cannibalisation from another CoLaz down the road.

Common questions

Before you enquire.

Do I receive help in producing my business plan and its ongoing revision?

Yes. It is of course your plan, but we will help and guide and provide a template that you complete yourself, socio-economic factors such as labour costs and rents vary across the UK, so the plan needs to be local to your district.

Can I sell my business?

Yes, having received the prior permission of the franchisor, who must approve the new purchaser to ensure they have the financial status and credentials to operate a CoLaz franchise successfully under the current terms of the Franchise Agreement.

Can I borrow money for the purchase of my franchise?

This depends on your individual finances and credit references. All the major banks have a Franchise Department and are used to dealing with potential franchise owners. The CoLaz franchise has been submitted to those Franchise Departments for familiarisation with the opportunity, so they already know the model.

Is my territory protected, and how is it established?

Yes. As this is a retail franchise-type opportunity, there is a comfort zone around your clinic of one district postal code. As an example, the Paddington clinic holds the W2 district, that gives you adequate peace of mind that no other CoLaz clinic will open inside your catchment.

Do I need experience or qualifications as a beauty therapist?

No formal qualifications are required of the management team or franchise owner, but your staff will need to be suitably qualified. We have our own in-house training centres where this is provided at preferential rates to the franchise owner. Our partner colleges are certified to train at NVQ levels 2, 3 and 4.

Who undertakes the complete clinic fit-out?

The franchise owner is guided by CoLaz management and uses local contractors to follow the format. This is at the franchise owner's own cost and should be budgeted within the business plan. The theme room is provided by a specialist CoLaz contractor, again at an additional cost.

Do I need to source any equipment or products myself?

No. CoLaz provides specialised equipment via nominated suppliers at preferential rates, and the after-treatment products are supplied at preferential rates allowing attractive margins of profitability. We also have access to an independent fund management company to help with capital purchases and refurbishment, useful for tax and cash flow. We will share details on request.

What are the ongoing fees charged by the franchisor?

A flat 8.5% royalty fee on total turnover net of VAT. There are no per-service charges, no separate ad-fund levies and no compulsory annual fee increases.
