Waxing while pregnant After Laser hair removal
I've done around 5 laser treatments on my legs and then stopped as I became pregnant, now I can see that some hair is still growing and shaving does not work as it makes them grow thicker and very fast. My question is can I do waxing until I deliver or this will cancel the effect of the previous treatments?
Congratulations on your happy news!
Waxing will not effect the progress of laser hair removal as while you are using the waxing method you are effectively only removing hairs that the laser has not yet treated.
You may find that you notice more hair growth but this is simply because of increased hormone levels due to your pregnancy.
We suggest that you wait 6 to 12 months after your delivery or once you have stopped breastfeeding to continue your sessions so your hormones rebalance themselves.
Before you restart your laser sessions please make note of the following :
- Do not wax 4 to 6 weeks prior to your laser appointment
- Do go for a patch test a week before your laser treatment
We wish you all the best for your pregnancy and enjoy motherhood.
