What Is PDO Thread?
PDO thread lifting is a minimally invasive cosmetic procedure.
Threads are inserted under the skin using needles to lift and tighten sagging skin. Over time, the threads dissolve, but they stimulate collagen production, improving skin texture and firmness.
Types of PDO Threads –
Mono Threads –
Smooth, no barbs. Used for skin tightening & rejuvenation.
Cog Threads –
Barbed threads that hook into the skin for more lifting power.
Screw Threads –
Coiled to give volume and lift.

What Areas Can PDO Thread Treatment Treat?
Jawline
PDO thread lifts can be an effective way to enhance and define the jawline, creating a more sculpted and youthful appearance. A well-contoured jawline is often associated with attractiveness in both men and women. By lifting and tightening the skin, PDO threads help balance facial proportions and complement other features such as the nose and brow, resulting in a naturally refined look.
Cheeks
As we age, our cheeks naturally lose volume and begin to sag. PDO thread lifts offer a non-surgical solution to gently lift and reposition the cheeks, restoring a more youthful look. By stimulating collagen production and providing structural support, PDO threads help elevate the mid-face area, enhancing cheek contours and creating the appearance of higher, more defined cheekbones without the need for added volume.
Neck
PDO thread lifts are a highly effective treatment for tightening the neck area. Ideal for individuals experiencing jawbone reduction, jowls, or sagging skin under the chin, PDO threads work by lifting and supporting the tissue, creating a more structured and youthful contour. As the threads stimulate collagen production, they gradually improve skin firmness and reduce the appearance of folds and drooping, resulting in a smoother, more defined neck.
Eyebrows
With age, the skin around the eyes—particularly under the brows—can begin to sag, leading to a tired or hollow appearance. PDO thread lifts offer a non-surgical way to elevate the brows and subtly lift the skin around the eyes. This treatment helps open up the eye area, reduce drooping, and create a more rested and youthful look by stimulating collagen and gently tightening the skin.Nasolabial folds (smile lines)
The nasolabial folds are the lines that run from the side of your nose to the corners of your mouth. PDO Thread can help to reduce their appearance, giving you a more youthful look.

How many treatments would I need for PDO Threads?
The number of PDO thread treatments you’ll need depends on your goals, age, skin condition, and the area being treated,
but here’s a general idea:
Typical Treatment Plan:
- Most people only need 1 initial treatment to see noticeable results
- Follow-up or maintenance treatments may be done every 12–18 months to maintain the lift and collagen boost
- Touch-ups might be recommended after 6 months, especially for skin tightening or if the initial lift wasn’t strong enough.
Factors That Influence How Many Treatments You’ll Need:
Age and Skin Quality:
- Younger clients with mild sagging may only need one session.
- Mature or thinner skin may benefit from 1–2 sessions with multiple threads or types used.
Treatment Area:
- Jawline or neck may require more threads than smaller areas like under the eyes or brows.
- Body areas like the abdomen or arms may need more extensive treatment.
Type of Threads Used:
- Mono threads are often used in a series (multiple sessions for best results).
- Cog or barbed threads give a stronger lift and usually need fewer sessions.
