Diamond Microdermabrasion Peel: The Magic Wand Treatment
Ever wished you could wave a magic wand over your face and reveal beautiful skin underneath? Well, now it’s virtually possible! Discover the magic of a diamond microdermabrasion peel facial and see superb results for your complexion.
Dull and lifeless looking facial complexions are usually a result of dirt and dead skin cells that slowly build up over time on the skin’s outer layer. This build-up clogs our pores and causes us to suffer acne and breakouts too.
A diamond peels facial addresses this problem by exfoliating the top layer of skin and removing excess oil, dirt and dead cells on the surface to reveal brighter, younger-looking skin beneath.
What Is a Diamond Microdermabrasion Peel Facial?
The diamond microdermabrasion peel facial treatment gets its name from the diamond chip-coated wand that is used to reduce blemishes and exfoliate the surface of your skin. It is an effective facial procedure for anyone struggling with:
It is an effective facial procedure
for anyone struggling with:
- Sun damage
- Acne prone skin
- Blotchy skin
- Fine scars
- Slight wrinkles
- Enlarged pores
- Unfavorable skin texture
- Non-inflamed whiteheads caused by keratin-clogged pores
Diamond peel facials are a non-surgical cosmetic treatment that offers instant clarifying results and have become the favourite of many women. The natural or synthetic diamond chips used (according to the preference of the salon) gently sloughs off the dead skin cells and vacuums them away.
Results are visible after the very first session.
The diamond micro derm machines usually come with wands that vary in size and coarseness so that the treatment can be tailored to different skin types. With the use of the slimmer diamond-tipped wand, your therapy technician is able to abrade the areas closer to your eyes and mouth more accurately with no danger of damage or crystal ingestion as with traditional microdermabrasion treatment.
The procedure lasts around 45 minutes and is painless, the only thing you’ll feel is a vacuum-like sucking sensation. Also, as the treatment is non-invasive—unlike other cosmetic surgeries involving injections or more abrasive peel treatments—even teenagers may undergo the procedure.
A diamond microdermabrasion peel facial is very similar to the mechanical exfoliation technique that is employed in regular microdermabrasion. The difference is that a diamond peel treatment uses a disposable or reusable diamond-tipped wand of various sizes and coarseness to yield greater results.
Standard microdermabrasion employs a fine sandblaster-like device to spray tiny aluminium oxide crystals across the skin. These are then immediately vacuumed away along with the dead skin cells.
The wand of the diamond peel treatment means that delicate problem areas such as crow’s feet and lip wrinkles are treatable. Traditional microdermabrasion tends to avoid these areas for fear of stray crystals getting into the eyes and mouth.
Diamond Microdermbrasion Peel Risks and Benefits
As it is non-invasive and non-surgical, the treatment holds little risk to any healthy person, though it is not recommended if you suffer from inflamed acne or other broken skin conditions. Minor redness and soreness may occur if you have sensitive skin but this will only last for a few hours following your session. Once your session is over, you can continue with your normal daily activities directly afterwards.
It is also possible to undergo a diamond peel facial in conjunction with other skin treatments, just ask your CoLaz clinician for advice on the best complementary therapies.
The CoLaz Diamond Microdermbrasion Peel Treatment
For best results, CoLaz advises a series of six to ten treatments every two to three weeks. Once you’ve undergone the initial series, you can scale it back to one session every few months to maintain your rejuvenated complexion.
Following a diamond peel facial, your skin may feel tighter and slightly dry, so we would recommend . . .
- You use a good quality moisturiser.
- Try to refrain from applying too much makeup and sun exposure.
- If you have to go out in the sun, apply a sunblock that contains a minimum of SPF 30 protection.

Before your treatment with diamond peel microdermabrasion, we will be happy to discuss your needs and recommend how microdermabrasion can help. We will review your medical history to see if you are suitable for the treatment, and we will explain what to expect and answer any questions you have about the treatment.
There are no special preparations necessary before getting a Diamond Peel procedure. However, it is strongly recommended that you have an initial examination with our skin specialist to ensure that your skin is correctly evaluated.
1. Cleaning - After the diamond peel, it's usually necessary to cleanse the face. It's frequently done with a cleanser and sponge.
2. Massage - The face will be massaged to promote blood flow and relax the muscles once washed.
3. Steam - The face may be steamed for 15 minutes after the scrub to loosen up the skin and open up pores.
4. Treatment - The diamond peel rod will be dragged over the entire face during the treatment, which will give it a light brushing effect. You will enjoy removing dead skin this way.
5. Post-Treatment Cream - A post-treatment cream is used to restore the skin's natural equilibrium. It can also combat the dryness that diamond peel treatments might induce.
A diamond peel removes extra oil from the surface of your skin, making it feel tight and dry. Keep the following ideas in mind when utilizing your therapy.
- A moisturizer will help you keep your skin hydrated. Your skin may seem drier and more uncomfortable after the diamond peel treatment, so you'll want to use a decent moisturizer. It will also aid in the treatment of itching caused by dryness.
- Apply an SPF 30 sunscreen. Also, apply sunscreen every day and avoid extended sun exposure whenever possible. Your skin may be more sensitive after the diamond peel procedure. A minimum of SPF 30 sunscreen is suggested.
- Avoid irritants that could be harmful. - If possible, avoid using skin-care products or astringents that are too harsh for the skin. Use hypoallergenic cosmetics and cosmetics if necessary.
- Makeup should be avoided at this time. After the diamond peel treatment, you may discover that your pores are still healing. It's preferable to use cosmetics only once every 24 hours because they can irritate your skin. If you must apply makeup, use hypoallergenic products instead.
- Do not touch your face. After the diamond peel therapy, make sure to keep your hands out of your face. Your hands are full of germs and bacteria that may spread (or even harm!) your skin if they come into contact with it. If you like to stroke your face often, wash your hands or use gloves to reduce the risk of contamination.
