I have recently completed Level 1 in Beauty and I'm am very interested in laser hair removal courses.
Can you please advise me of the training dates, courses and locations. Also if there are any concessions for people who are unemployed.
Reply Hi Maria, I understand that you have just done a level 1 in beauty and are interested in laser hair removal courses.
We offer two routes into laser hair removal qualifications.
The first route is the 3 day BMLA (British Medical Laser Association) class which covers the core of knowledge, laser and IPL hair removal. It is a very intense course, you should be able to get insurance with BABTAC once you have completed it.
I would recommend this for people who are looking to open their own laser hair removal business or work from home as it gives you the opportunity to go out into the field, buy a machine, get insurance and start trading.
The BMLA course costs £950+VAT and will be starting in January 2013 from Monday the 21st to Wednesday 23rd January. The classes run from 9.30 -4.30pm.
The second route is the Level 4 laser hair removal course which runs roughly for a duration of 10 - 17 weeks. This course covers: the core of knowledge, laser hair removal, IPL hair removal, skin rejuvenation, thread vein etc. This is a slightly more in depth course, where you will be required to undertake case studies.
You are required to bring your own models to practice on. This course costs £1250 +VAT. You are required to also purchase a kit alongside this course. This course will commence in March.
