My skin at the beginning of last school year My rosacea (my biggest insecurity) My skin a few days ago (see the redness was getting better) My skin this morning (I KNOW I look ugly)

Hi there. I never really had skin problems before this year, but now I have really dry, really sensitive skin. I had pretty bad acne last summer, so I went to a dermatologist.

The products I was given were too aggressive for my sensitive skin and ended up burning my skin and making the acne worse. I stopped using the products and the acne eventually went away on its own. But I still had pretty bad rosacea (no pustules though). All of the products I was using were for sensitive rosacea skin, but they still irritated my skin and made the redness even worse.

I went back to the dermatologist and was prescribed Finacea, but it didn’t do anything for me. Later, I was prescribed metronidazole cream. I have been using it for the past 3 weeks and the redness was already going away and my skin was not reacting badly to it. So lately, my skin has been a lot better than it has been in a long time. The gentle products I have been using recently have not irritated my skin.

However, when I woke up this morning, my face looked like hell. I have a painful red dry rash all over my face. It is the worst around my eyes, as it looks like I got punched in the face. I have had a few reactions like this in the past year and I never know what causes it or how to deal with it. The only thing I can think of that might have caused it is the Fruit of the Earth Aloe Vera Gel, as I recently added that product to my skin care routine. However, I don’t know how that could cause such a reaction because my skin was handling it fine, besides a few breakouts.

Why would my skin freak out like this all of a sudden? Anyways, I feel absolutely horrible about the way I look right now and refuse to leave my room. Any advice you could give me about what the problem might be and how to deal with it would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Kris

Thank you for contacting Colaz and informing us about your concern.

In regards to the pictures you sent, I can see you have had an allergic reaction, our best solution to help your skin calm down will be LED light therapy. LED light therapy is a certified treatment for many dermatological conditions. Its painless and can be used on all skin types.

The Blue and red LED light interact with skin cells causing a photo-biochemical reaction. This stimulates cellular renewal from deep within the tissue and has an anti-bacterial effect. It helps rejuvenate ageing skin by initiating new collagen production and repairing damaged cells.

We have our own sensitive allergy prone skin products which might help... natural cleanser, healing masque, essential lipids etc but it will be better if you can come in so we can check your skin and advise the best possible solution.

We recommend you get an allergy test done to check if the products you are using has something that will cause the reaction again.

We hope this has helped you...

Thank you.

Kind Regards,
