Does laser hair removal hurt? My friend had it done and she said it was painful.
Answer: Most IPL machines and lasers do hurt. The best way to describe the pain using IPL and some lasers is imagine someone taking a thick rubber band and stretching it back and popping your skin with it.
It stings pretty badly in sensitive areas BUT it's not that terribly painful or no one would do it..
I’ve bought a laser machine that causes no pain whatsoever and is very successful in permanently reducing the hair growth after two to three sessions. Does laser hair removal hurt? Click here to find out more about the pain-free laser machine I use.
Does getting your buttocks and inner thighs hurt?
Reply Hi Jacqueline
We have many clients that get their buttock area and the inner thigh area done, and it all is dependable on your pain threshold. If you’ve got a very low pain threshold you may feel a bit of minor discomfort, but otherwise, the majority of the clients don’t really feel anything other than a sort of sharp tingle. And that’s gone within seconds after the laser’s been fired.
So again, it all depends on your pain threshold, but the majority of clients don’t feel anything.
Does laser hair removal hurt? I'm concerned because I have sensitive skin.
Answer It depends what laser machine you use and what area of the body you treat. Some areas are more sensitive then others and people’s pain threshold is different. If the patch test is fine then you will be alright when you have your treatment.
