What Is Aqualyx®?
Aqualyx is a revolutionary injectable solution developed by the renowned aesthetic surgeon Professor Pasquale Motoleses, and the solution has been available internationally since 2009.
It has been licensed in the UK for fat loss treatment and body reshaping. Aqualyx is an injectable solution whereby the clinician will inject the solution into localised areas of fat such as the saddlebags, thighs, stomach, chin and knees.
It can also be used to treat pseudo gynecomastia, commonly known as man boobs. Aqualyx liquefies the fat cells and destroys them permanently. The lipids are released will be naturally eliminated through the lymphatic system.
Aqualyx is proven to lead to permanent reduction of fatty tissues. Aqualyx can be injected in any area where you are trying to achieve a slimmer, more toned look or feel better about yourself.
How Does Aqualyx Fat Dissolving Injection Work?
Aqualyx is a non-surgical procedure that dissolves fat cells and assists with body shaping. Aqualyx’s ingredients are injected into the targeted area to dissolve unwanted fat cells by weakening them.
The breakdown of the fat cells allows the body’s immune system to eliminate them via the lymphatic system and reshape those areas. To see optimal results, you must have a healthy lifestyle.
The Aqualyx process starts working immediately, but in some cases, it can take over a month to break down the fat. for best results, it may take a few treatments before you can see the effects on the targeted area.
Who Is Suitable For Aqualyx?
Aqualyx treatment is suitable for someone who is ideally close to their body weight, with areas of stubborn fat they are struggling to shift with exercise or diet, such as bra folds or saddlebags.
Please remember Aqualyx is not a weight-loss treatment, so if you are overweight and have large areas of loose skin, this treatment will not be ideal for you. During the consultation procedure, the clinician will access the areas and recommend if treatment is suitable.
Aqualyx is typically considered safe for most people, but it may not be recommended in certain circumstances, such as

- Blood-thinning medication, e.g. warfarin

However, please remember that if you choose to follow an unhealthy lifestyle after treatment, you may put on fat in different areas you have not treated.
Liposuction is an invasive procedure that requires surgery and downtime. Aqualyx is a non-surgical procedure and is very effective in the treatment area, and is minimally invasive.
If you are treating the chin area, you should take a few days off as the area is very sensitive and can lead to swelling, inflammation, or bruising up to 3-10 days.
