What Are (Botox) Anti-Wrinkle Injections?
Anti-Wrinkle Injectables are a very popular, non-invasive cosmetic treatment to help reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles by relaxing the muscles around the injected area. The anti-wrinkle injection also treats neck spasms (cervical dystonia), excessive sweating (hyperhidrosis), and chronic migraines.
How Does Anti- Wrinkle Injections Work?
The injections work by blocking the signals between the nervous system and muscles. If you are treating frown lines around the forehead or crow’s feet, then the muscle injected will not be able to contract leaving the area relax and soft. The injections also use the same principle to helps to reduce pain for chronic headaches, blocks sweat glands and has been proven to be very effective.
What Conditions Can You Treat With Anti-Wrinkle Injections?
Frown Lines
The lines between the eyebrows are known as ‘frown lines’. Frown lines may be caused by muscle contractions from the procerus or corrugators muscles.
Over time, these lines may deepen to form a permanent line that is often referred to as an 11’s line, and as a result, the skin on your forehead may start to droop.
Anti-Wrinkle Injection is injected into the frown lines to relax these muscles and significantly reduce their appearance. It works by weakening the muscle’s contractions, reducing, or preventing any furrowing of your brows that form with movement in this area. With several treatments, you may notice the line disappear slowly.
Forehead
The forehead is the area between your eyebrows and above your eyes. Lines can appear here when you raise your eyebrows, such as when surprised or concentrating on something difficult to remember or understand. The muscle involved in this area is called the frontalis. Anti-Wrinkle Injection is injected into the muscle, which will help to relax the muscle preventing any movement. The result is significantly reduced appearance in this area and a smooth, youthful forehead once again.Crow’s Feet
Crow’s Feet are the name given to small lines that form around your eyes when you smile are caused by the contraction of the circular muscle around the eyes called Orbicularis Oculi. These wrinkles often frame and accentuate crow’s feet, making them more noticeable than they would be if left untreated. Anti-Wrinkle Injection is injected in these areas to relax any muscle contractions that may have been causing the crow’s feet to form. As a result, the frown lines that separate the eyes from each other will disappear and make you look much more relaxed and younger than before treatment. Anti-Wrinkle Injection injections also weaken the wrinkle-forming muscles around your eye when you smile or squint, so there is less chance of any lines forming in this area.Jaw Muscles
People who suffer from jaw clenching (Bruxism) may have a large masseter muscle on either side of the jaw. Excessive chewing can cause grinding damage to teeth and tension headaches radiating from the neck up to around your temples. Anti-Wrinkle Injection is injected into each muscle, relaxing it so that any related headache irritation is reduced. The injections will also protect the teeth and give more feminine contouring to your lower face by reducing any square/box jaw look that may have formed over time.Headaches
Anti-Wrinkle Injection injections can be used to help reduce headaches that are caused by tension in the muscles of the neck. Bruxism (excessive chewing) may cause grinding damage to teeth and lead to a tension headache that radiates up from the neck, across your forehead or down into around temples. Anti-Wrinkle Injection is injected near each muscle to relax it, so the tension headache is reduced.Bunny Lines
The area around your nose is a common place for wrinkles to form. These are little wrinkles that appear when you laugh and create the lines around the bridge of your nose. They’re caused by muscle contractions from either two different muscles, called the procerus muscle and zygomaticus major muscle, which can form over time. Once again, the areas are injected to reduce muscle contraction to prevent the lines from appearing.
Underarm Sweating (Hyperhidrosis)
Sweating is a natural function to regulate your body temperature. It helps maintain the balance of electrolytes and hormones in your bloodstream and detoxify any toxins out of your system. However, excessive sweating in one area can be very embarrassing, especially when it’s an armpit situation that causes dark patches on clothes due to wetness or when you can smell your sweat from some distance due to strong odours. Anti-Wrinkle Injection is injected into the underarm area just beneath the skin. It starts working within three-five days and can last up to nine months in terms of effectiveness. This product blocks the overactivity of sweat glands which causes reduced sweating that’s only limited to the armpits. It’s virtually painless and can be done in a few minutes while you wait, so it doesn’t require any downtime afterwards or long recovery periods.Anti-Wrinkle Injections Benefits

What's The Difference Between Anti-Wrinkle Injections and Dermal Fillers?
The difference between Anti-wrinkle injections and dermal fillers is that the former will paralyse any muscle from contracting, whereas a filler plumps up lines or wrinkles to make them less visible.
Anti-wrinkle injections are a purified protein that temporarily relaxes facial muscles, reducing the appearance of wrinkles and lines. Dermal fillers work to add volume to sagging areas of skin and give it a more youthful look. This cosmetic treatment is typically achieved by injecting hyaluronic acid under the skin.
If your goal is to reduce motion wrinkles, Anti-wrinkle injections may be the best option for you to help decrease their formation and visibility. These are usually found in the forehead and around the eyebrows and are called dynamic wrinkles.
Facial fillers are ideal plumping the skin which has loss it’s volume. Fillers cannot be used around the forehead, and they do not help to prevent headaches, sweating.

In rare cases, some people may not respond to Anti-wrinkle treatments as you could quickly metabolise the Anti-wrinkle drug. Some people who have been having treatments for several years may develop antibodies; as a result, the patient's Anti-wrinkle injections are short-lived or have no effect at all. However, this is very rare as 1.5% of patients develop antibodies, and an estimated one patient in 10,000 develop resistance to Anti-wrinkle.
