Soprano vs GentleYAG on fine hair
I have fair skin (Fitzpatrick 3 or 4) and dark fine hair. I've heard that the Soprano is more effective in removing fine hair than the GentleYAG.
Is this true?
Reply Hi, Neeta
If your skin type is 3-4, you're suitable for either IPLs, soprano, diet laser, YAG laser, so you're suitable for a wide range of lasers. You've asked me a question, if soprano treats fine hairs.
To be honest, no laser can actually get rid of any fine, fluffy hairs. So you won't see results on fine, fluffy hair. Now, the YAG has a setting which can reduce medium hair growth.
As for soprano, again, that's a good machine as well, but it all depends on your therapist and how much energy they're inputting, but if you've got fine, fluffy hair you're not going to be able to find a machine that's going to actually treat that.
Again, you want to know which machine is better. I've used both machines and they're both as effective to do in laser hair removal, but we find that the YAG machine actually gives better results and quicker results.
